As our Account Manager, you’ll fulfil an essential role between our clients, our team, and the projects we deliver. You and the team will be working for multiple brands, from international accounts to small boutique brands, such as Pets Place, Foot Locker or The Social Hub. This role needs someone with a commercial mindset who loves to network and seeks out growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of fashion, lifestyle, and hospitality brands, and serve as the primary point of contact for those clients;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients;
- Create proposals for incoming briefs, including a plan of approach with accompanying budget, debrief and top line timings;
- Craft briefs for clients and translate into tangible deliverables for the creative team;
- Come up with creative solutions and recommendations to the client’s challenges;
- Run projects within all Colourcake’s services, from A-Z, supporting project managers when necessary;
- Ensure that our work delivered to clients reaches both our and the client’s standards;
- Monitor your clients’ budgets and negotiating new terms if necessary;
- Stay well organised and report on the status of your client portfolio to the head of account management;
- Regularly provide insights and advice with the creative team on efficiency and project delivery;
- Proactively work on coming up with new project opportunities for your client portfolio;
- Maintain a good understanding of the industry and market segment that your clients are active in.
What you bring to the table
- Have completed a degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, communication or in another relevant field;
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, preferably in an agency environment;
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
- Are commercially-minded, with strong attention to detail and understanding of opportunities to expand business with clients;
- Are a natural organiser, coordinator and team leader;
- Are proactive, flexible and excellent at internal and external communication;
- Have great motivational and negotiation skills;
- Skilled with Microsoft Office, Excel and basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
